My client, a digital marketing agency, needed a bundle of 20 blog articles for an HVAC and plumbing service. When I shadowed a specialty trade business one summer, I became fascinated with this type of work. I knew I wasn’t cut out for doing the work, although I became decent enough at painting walls and caulking things. But I knew my curiosity and enjoyment of these tasks would allow me to write for specialty trade businesses.

My client provided me with the keywords and titles for each blog post. I researched what customers were asking about these topics and wove in my own customer experience dealing with HVAC and plumbing issues at home. I wrote each article to be informative and engaging, providing DIY tips for customers along with guidelines about when to call a professional. This type of information sharing in blogs builds trust with future customers.

Here was my client’s response to this project:

I went on to write more articles and content pages for my client’s digital marketing clients, on chiropractic, restaurant hood cleaning, and carpet repair:

My client appreciated the informative content packed with value and delivered in a conversational style. That combination requires an in-depth understanding of the prospect’s pain points along with appreciation of how the client meets those needs.
